๐ŸŠ Combining red wine, fresh fruit, and juices, this recipe offers a refreshing adult treat that’s easy to prepare and sure to impress.

  • Total Time: 3 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 18 jello shots 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin (equivalent to 2 packets)

2 cups red wine (such as a red blend, cabernet, or zinfandel), divided

1/2 cup cherry juice

1/2 cup cranberry juice

1/2 granny smith apple, cored and finely diced

18 mandarin orange slices, chopped into thirds

18 fresh raspberries, halved

1 cup red wine (provides the base flavor and authentic sangria taste)

1/2 cup orange juice (adds natural sweetness and citrus aroma)

1/4 cup brandy (enhances depth and richness)

1/4 cup sugar (balances tartness for smooth flavor)

3 envelopes unflavored gelatin (sets the shots firmly)

mixed fruits (orange slices, berries) for added texture and decorative appeal

Instructions

1-Add the gelatin to a spouted mixing bowl or liquid measuring cup and pour 1/4 cup of the red wine over it; let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb.

2-Heat 1 cup of the red wine over medium heat until it just begins to simmer, then whisk the hot wine into the gelatin mixture until fully dissolved.

3-Whisk in the remaining 3/4 cup of red wine and both juices until well combined, and set the mixture aside.

4-Arrange the plastic cups on a tray without their lids, divide the diced apples evenly among the cups, and add 3 pieces of chopped orange and 1/2 raspberry to each cup.

5-Pour the wine mixture into each cup, filling just under the rim to leave space for the lids.

6-Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until the mixture is fully set.

7-Remove from the refrigerator, place a raspberry half cut side down on top of each shot, and serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready.
