โณ This recipe is simple to prepare ahead of time, perfect for easy entertaining or busy days.

  • Total Time: 5 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup mayo

3/4 cup sour cream

2 teaspoons white wine vinegar

1 teaspoon sugar

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

3 cups cooked and drained macaroni pasta

3 cups chopped romaine lettuce

Half of 1 red bell pepper, diced

1/4 cup finely diced red onion

1/2 cup thawed frozen green peas

1/3 cup chopped celery

1 1/2 cups diced ham

1/3 cup black olives

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

1-First, mix the dressing by combining 1/2 cup mayo, 3/4 cup sour cream, 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon sugar, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper in a small bowl until smooth. This creamy blend adds a tangy kick that elevates the whole dish.

2-Next, in a large trifle bowl or glass dish, begin layering: start with 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce as the base for crunch.

3-Follow with 3 cups cooked and drained macaroni pasta to build structure. Add half of 1 diced red bell pepper for color, then 1/4 cup finely diced red onion for a sharp bite. Continue with 1/2 cup thawed frozen green peas and 1/3 cup chopped celery for freshness. Layer on 1 1/2 cups diced ham for protein, followed by 1/3 cup black olives for a savory note.

4-Once layered, pour the prepared dressing over the top and finish with 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least five hours to let the flavors meld.

5-Right before serving, toss everything well to mix the layers evenly, creating a delightful blend of tastes and textures.
