Ingredients
– 500 grams boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– Salt to taste
– Pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons cornstarch
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 tablespoon salted butter
– 2 minced garlic cloves
– 3 tablespoons honey
– 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions
1-First, pat the 500 grams of boneless, skinless chicken breast dry and season it with salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
2-Next, coat the chicken pieces in 2 tablespoons of cornstarch or a substitute like flour.
3-Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 8-10 minutes until it’s golden and fully cooked.
4-Then, add 1 tablespoon of salted butter and 2 minced garlic cloves to the skillet, followed by 3 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce.
5-Stir everything together and cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken nicely.
6-If needed, remove the chicken briefly to let the sauce thicken further before mixing it back in for even coverage.
7-Finally, garnish with optional fresh oregano or Italian parsley and drizzle extra honey on top for added sweetness.
8-Serve it hot with rice or vegetables to round out the meal.
