๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’ง Homemade strawberry simple syrup infuses cocktails lemonades desserts with pure fresh berry essence.
๐Ÿฌ Easy stovetop magic preserves summer flavor – versatile sweetener elevates every drink dish!

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients

– 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped) for natural sweetness, vibrant red color, and fruity aroma

– 1 cup granulated sugar for balancing tartness and creating thick consistency

– 1 cup water for liquid base

– 1 tablespoon lemon juice for brightening taste, preventing browning, and preservation

Instructions

1-First Step: Gather and Prep Ingredients Start with mise en place. Hull and chop 2 cups fresh strawberries into small pieces. Measure 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. This keeps things smooth and prevents rushing.

2-Second Step: Combine and Heat Add strawberries, sugar, and water to a medium saucepan. Place over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves, about 2-3 minutes. The mixture will start to bubble gently.

3-Third Step: Simmer and Mash Bring to a boil, then reduce to low simmer for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Strawberries soften and release juices. Mash with a potato masher midway for deeper flavor extraction.

4-Fourth Step: Add Lemon and Steep Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice. Let steep 10 minutes. This infuses bright notes and helps flavors meld.

5-Final Step: Strain and Cool Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a jar, pressing solids for max juice. Discard pulp or save for smoothies. Cool to room temperature. Refrigerate until ready to use.
