๐Ÿ Savor the perfect blend of sweet pineapple and savory beef in these delicious Hawaiian Burgers.
๐Ÿ” This quick-to-make recipe offers a unique flavor combo that brings a refreshing twist to classic burgers.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

8 whole canned pineapple rings

1 large red bell pepper, seeded and cut into rings

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

Salt and pepper to taste

Additional teriyaki sauce as needed

4 slices provolone cheese

2 tablespoons butter

4 whole onion rolls

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

Green lettuce leaves

Instructions

1-First, mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper in a bowl to create the sauce; set it aside for later.

2-Next, grill or pan-sear 8 whole canned pineapple rings and the rings from 1 large red bell pepper over medium-high heat until they have grill marks or are browned; remove and set aside.

3-Season 1 1/2 pounds ground beef with salt and pepper to taste, then form into 4 equal patties. Cook the patties over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side. After flipping, add a splash of teriyaki sauce to each patty, top with 1 slice of provolone cheese, and cook for an additional 4 minutes until fully cooked and the cheese melts.

4-In a separate pan or griddle, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat and toast 4 whole onion rolls until golden brown. Spread some of the prepared sauce on both sides of the rolls.

5-Finally, assemble each burger by placing a patty on the bottom bun, then layering with 2 pineapple rings, slices from 1/2 red onion, the grilled red bell pepper rings, and green lettuce leaves. Top with the other bun half and serve with extra sauce for dipping. For a fruity twist, try our Peach Cobbler recipe as a sweet side.
