๐ŸŒฟ Infused with authentic herbs and spices, this recipe brings vibrant Mediterranean flavors to your table, making it a tasty and nutritious choice.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 40 meatballs

Ingredients

– 2 pounds ground chicken

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

– 1/2 teaspoon ground oregano

– 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

– 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped

– 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped

– 1/4 cup finely diced red onion

– 4 cloves garlic, finely minced

– 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

– 1 tablespoon olive oil for frying

– Chopped romaine lettuce for serving

– Feta cheese for serving

– Cucumber for serving

– Tomato for serving

– White rice for serving

– Tzatziki sauce for serving

Instructions

1-Combine all meatball ingredients in a small mixing bowl. Mix by hand until well combined, then use a cookie dough scoop or tablespoon to portion and roll into meatballs.

2-Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Cook meatballs for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through, making sure they reach an internal temperature of 165ยฐF. If you have a lot, cook in batches to avoid crowding the pan.

3-Serve the meatballs over chopped romaine lettuce with feta cheese, cucumber, tomato, white rice, and tzatziki sauce for a full, flavorful plate.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Always check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to ensure they reach 165ยฐF for safety.
๐Ÿฅถ Double the recipe and freeze half of the uncooked meatballs for quick future meals.
๐Ÿณ Try baking the meatballs at 400ยฐF on parchment paper for 15-20 minutes for a healthier cooking method.
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ An air fryer alternative: Cook at 400ยฐF for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through for even cooking.
