๐Ÿฅง Eggnog Custard Pie offers a creamy, rich holiday dessert perfect for celebrating festive seasons with classic flavors.
๐ŸŽ„ This pie is simple to make and brings warmth and tradition to your holiday table with every slice.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

– 2 cups eggnog

– 3 eggs

– 2 tablespoons brandy or rum

– 2 tablespoons eggnog for a non-alcoholic option

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/3 cup granulated sugar

– 1/8 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg plus extra for garnish

– 1 unbaked deep dish pie crust

– 1 large egg white beaten until frothy

Instructions

1-Creation of Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the 2 cups of eggnog, 3 eggs, 2 tablespoons of brandy or rum (or substitute with more eggnog), and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix in the 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, 1/8 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg until everything is thoroughly blended.

2-Crust Preparation: Brush the edges of the 1 unbaked deep dish pie crust with the beaten egg white to get a crispy, well-browned finish.

3-Baking: Pour the filling into the crust and bake for 25 minutes. Then, cover the pie with foil and continue baking for an additional 30 to 40 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

4-Cooling and Serving: Let the pie cool on a wire rack, as the filling will set while cooling, making it easier to slice. Optionally, garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg before serving, and remember to store it in the refrigerator for freshness.
