๐ŸŽ„ Christmas Tree Brownies are an easy and festive holiday treat that brings joy to any celebration.
๐ŸŒŸ This recipe features simple steps and fun decorations, perfect for holiday parties or gifting.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 5 minutes
  • Yield: 12 brownies shaped as Christmas trees 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie mix for one 8″x8″ pan (according to package directions)

1 tub white vanilla icing

Green food coloring (40-50 drops)

Small round sprinkles for decoration

Small star sprinkles for decoration

Candy canes (cut into 1.5″ pieces) for tree trunks, optional

Instructions

1-Line an 8″x8″ baking pan: with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray to keep everything from sticking.

2-Prepare the brownie mix: as directed on the package and bake it according to the instructions, which typically takes about 20-30 minutes.

3-Allow the brownies to cool completely: which should take around 1.5 hours, so they hold their shape when you cut them.

4-Remove the brownies from the pan and cut them into 12 triangles: by making three rows and then cutting in alternating diagonals for that tree shape.

5-Unwrap the candy canes and cut them into 1.5-inch pieces: to serve as tree trunks, then press the sharp end into the bottom of each brownie triangle.

6-Spoon about half of the icing into a bowl and mix in 40-50 drops of green food coloring: until you get the shade you want.

7-Transfer the green icing to a sealable plastic bag: and snip off a small corner to make piping easier.

8-Starting at the top of each brownie triangle, pipe the icing in a zigzag pattern: going downward to look like tree branches.

9-Decorate with small round sprinkles: and add a small star sprinkle on top of each tree for a finishing touch.

10-Optionally, let the icing harden overnight in an airtight container: to keep everything fresh.

Notes

๐ŸŽฏ Visualize triangle cuts with skewers before slicing for better shapes.
๐Ÿฌ Attach candy cane trunks before applying icing to avoid damage.
๐Ÿฅ Buttercream frosting can be used instead of store-bought icing for a firmer finish.
