🍫 Enjoy rich and creamy homemade chocolate truffles that melt in your mouth, perfect for gifting or indulging.
πŸŽ‰ These truffles are simple to make with minimal ingredients and can be customized with toppings for a personal touch.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: 20-24 truffles

Ingredients

– 8 ounces (about 227g) quality semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate bars very finely chopped

– 2/3 cup (about 160ml) heavy cream (at least 36% fat)

– 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)

– 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (optional)

– Unsweetened cocoa powder for toppings

– Sprinkles for toppings

– Crushed nuts for toppings

– Melted or tempered chocolate for toppings

Instructions

1-Place the finely chopped chocolate in a heat-proof bowl to get ready for melting.

2-Heat the heavy cream until it simmers, being careful not to let it boil over.

3-Add butter if you’re using it, then pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes undisturbed.

4-Stir until smooth, adding vanilla extract if desired, to create a glossy mixture.

5-Refrigerate the mixture for 1-2 hours until it’s fully set and easy to handle.

6-Scoop into mounds with 2 teaspoons each, chill if sticky, and roll into balls for shaping.

7-Coat each ball with your chosen toppings and store as needed for the best results.
