2 cups cubed ham

4 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups milk (at least 2% fat)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cups shredded Swiss cheese (5 ounces)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup panko bread crumbs

2 tablespoons melted butter for the breadcrumb topping

Instructions

1-Layer 5 1/2 cups of shredded cooked chicken and 2 cups of cubed ham in the casserole dish for the base.

2-Pour the prepared cheese sauce evenly over the chicken and ham layers.

3-Mix 1 cup of panko bread crumbs with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle it on top for a crispy finish.

4-Bake uncovered at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 30 to 35 minutes until it’s golden brown and bubbly.

5-Let the casserole rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving to help the flavors meld.
