Ingredients
– 1 1/2 cups black beans (1 15-oz can, drained and rinsed very well), approximately 250g after draining
– 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (10g)
– 1/2 cup quick oats (40g)
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/3 cup pure maple syrup, honey, or agave (75g)
– Pinch of uncut stevia or 2 tablespoons sugar (optional; if omitted, increase maple syrup to 1/2 cup)
– 1/4 cup coconut or vegetable oil (40g)
– 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 to 2/3 cup chocolate chips (essential)
– Optional: additional chocolate chips for topping
Instructions
1-Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease an 8ร8 inch baking pan to avoid any sticking issues.
2-Combine ingredients: Combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a food processor and blend until completely smooth for a perfect batter base.
3-Stir in chocolate chips: Stir in the 1/2 to 2/3 cup chocolate chips to add that essential chocolate burst.
4-Pour and sprinkle: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and, if you like, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for added texture.
5-Bake and cool: Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, then let cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting. If the brownies seem undercooked, refrigerate overnight to firm them up.
