πŸ§€ This recipe offers a convenient and delicious way to prepare hearty sandwiches that are ideal for meal prep or a quick dinner.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 4 hoagie rolls for the base that holds everything together

– 1/3 cup Italian dressing to add moisture and tangy flavor inside the rolls

– 12 slices sandwich-sized pepperoni for that classic spicy touch

– 12 ounces turkey provides lean protein, and you can swap it for salami or ham if preferred

– 12 slices provolone cheese melts wonderfully to create a creamy layer

– Β½ red onion, sliced brings a sharp, fresh crunch

– Β½ cup sweet and hot salad peppers adds a mix of sweet and spicy vibes

– Β½ teaspoon pepper seasons the filling for extra zest

– Β½ teaspoon salt enhances all the flavors just right

– Β½ teaspoon oregano infuses an authentic Italian herb note

– 1 tablespoon butter used for brushing on top for a golden finish

– 1 tablespoon garlic salt mixed with butter to give the top bun a flavorful crust

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and get a 9Γ—13 inch baking dish ready. This step ensures even cooking and helps everything come together perfectly.

2-Slice each hoagie roll lengthwise, but don’t cut all the way through to keep it easy to stuff. Brush the inside of both the bottom and top buns with 1/3 cup Italian dressing for that flavorful base.

3-On the bottom bun, layer 3 slices of pepperoni, then add 4-5 slices of the folded 12 ounces turkey on top. Follow that with 3 folded slices of provolone cheese to lock in the goodness.

4-Next, add the sliced Β½ red onion and Β½ cup sweet and hot salad peppers. Sprinkle on Β½ teaspoon pepper, Β½ teaspoon salt, and Β½ teaspoon oregano for a burst of seasoning.

5-In the microwave, melt 1 tablespoon butter with 1 tablespoon garlic salt, then brush this mixture on the top bun. Place the subs in the baking dish and bake for 20 minutes until everything is warm and melty.
